[Plugin: Now Reading Reloaded] Save options in admin lead to a blank page

Do the options save despite the blank screen?

If so, can you enable debug mode to get any additional information?

The options do not save at all, so I can’t enable debug mode.

After upgrading to the latest version, I am not able to save changes to the options page so basically this plugin isn’t working now.

I have this error:

Fatal error: Cannot use object of type WPlize as array in …/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/now-reading-reloaded/admin/options.php on line 19

Can you give me any information about your hosting platform? Web server, PHP version, etc etc?

Operating System : Linux
Server : Apache/2.0.63 (Unix)
PHP Version : 5.2.8
MYSQL Version : 5.0.81-community

Running latest version of WP and plugin.

I’m stumped. Without access to the malfunctioning site and/or more detailed diagnostic information, everything would be a shot in the dark.

Is it possible to do a reinstall?

I tried deactivating, reuploaded the files but it didn’t make any changes. There still this error

Is there a way I can hardcode the 2 required amazon keys into the plugin file or via other ways so that I can add books and continue using this plugin? Only the save options ain’t working, all the rest are working fine. ??

I do have the debug option checked but does it give any more information than the error above? Not sure where it is output.

On this page the books still show in the sidebar but not on the main page.

Further to the problem with NRR 5.1.0.0 in my previous post, I checked the apache2 error logs and noticed that I was getting duplicate key errors for the tables referencing NRR.

Now, I don’t know if that is a problem with just my database or something that the plugin upgrade has caused but hopefully someone will be able to tell me.

Updated to the latest version and the problem persist.

Just updated to latest version 5.1.1.0 and, like Truth, I see the problem is still there:

Line 19 in options.php is the line for the Amazon Web Services key. Anyone else having this problem? Any solutions?

Short of getting into your servers myself, I can’t troubleshoot this problem.

At some point, perhaps this fall, I’ll be attempting a massive cleanup of the plugin to better integrate with WP’s plugin API, so that might fix the issue.

Unfortunately, I can’t give a timeline at this point.

Okay huh. I think it wasn’t a plugin issue nor a server issue. I installed it on another rather new WP installation on the same domain same server. It was working fine. I think it was due to the upgrade from the old version from Now reading to Now reading reloaded that caused this issue. Can you teach me how to do a complete fresh installation for this plugin? Like how do I delete the old data etc and reinstalled it?
