[Plugin: Online Backup for WordPress] Manual download fail – source file could not be read.

    I have used this plugin on my own site and it works perfectly, thanks!

    I’m trying to backup another site now and each time I try to manually download it fails, with this message: could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.

    I tried to backup and download separately, the Database works but not the Filesystem. Any suggestions please?

    Hi LanaK,

    When you say, “Could not be saved, because the source file could not be read”. I’ve never seen this anywhere before. Where exactly does the error message appear? Can you copy and paste the error message exactly as it appears for me?

    When I do the filesystem backup, it says backup completed successfully but then when I download it, it starts downloading and then each tme a message box pops up saying:

    Download Error: /Users/Trick/Downloads/WPOnlineBackup_Full.zip.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.
    Try again later, or contact the server administrator.

    I have a similar problem. I have done both manual and online backups successfully of various sites, but with one particular site the manual backup of the filesystem times out (the download of the database alone runs smoothly).

    The download starts, stating that the .zip file is 38MB big and will take 12 minutes to download. After 2 minutes, however, the download stops, saying that it has completed downloading a 11MB file. When I try to unarchive the file the following message pops up:

    “Unable to unarchive (filename) into (directory name). (Error 1 – Operation not permitted)”

    Any suggestions?
