for me the plugin compliance always appears in english. WordPress is set in german. sorry for my english; ) can the error be with the hoster? whenever I install the plugin at the hoster all inkl., the plugin is only displayed in English. With all other hosts it works perfectly in German. But everything is installed in German.

    Hi @marcohaberland,

Are you using German (Sie), or the informal version? Could you navigate to Dashboard > Updates and check whether you might need to Update Translations?

Updating any plugin will also automatically check for updates to the translation files.

Let me know if you have any updates regarding this.

    Kind regards,
    Jarno

Thanks for your quick reply! I have already tried all languages ??.. all versions are up to date .. on other servers it works only with my hoster the error occurs .. my hoster says that the error is with the plugin .. i think there can be a setting in the database right?

    Hi @marcohaberland,

Just to be careful, don’t share any details from your test site here.

If the plugin works everywhere, except on this hosting…I’m surprised the issue would be our plugin, not the hosting. Did they say what the error was?

Are there any other plugins with same error? Are you able to download Loco Translate and see if the language files are available?

    regards Aert

    Hi @marcohaberland,

Any updates regarding this? Have you attempted to check whether the language files are available using Loco Translate, as @aahulsebos suggested?

Let us know if there is anything we can do to assist further.
    Kind regards,

Same problem here. Hoster also all-inkl.
Loco Translate says “no translation found for complianz-gdpr”.

Edit: Therefor I uploaded the language files manually to languages/plugins and now the german language is available and running.

    Hi @rakupa,

Thank you for sharing your solution here, glad to hear you were able to solve the issue.

    @marcohaberland

As you are using the same hosting provider and experiencing as the user above, please try manually downloading & uploading the German language file. Please find the most recent translation file here: https://translate.www.ads-software.com/projects/wp-plugins/complianz-gdpr/dev/de/default/

Scroll down to the bottom of the page & click “Export” (set to All current, as .pot). Then upload the languages files manually to languages/plugins and set the WordPress language to German.

    Hope this helps.
    Kind regards,

thanks for the help. Unfortunately that doesn’t work for me: (I tried it manually via the server with the language file and with loco translate.loco translate finds the language file. But it does not translate anything : (

just with all incl … I can’t understand it

    Hi @marcohaberland,

Sorry to hear you’re still having translation issues.

Perhaps you can reach out to us by mail at [email protected], and attach a screenshot of what files these folders contain:

    /wp-content/languages/plugins/
    /wp-content/languages

Then we can have a look if the contents of your folders match up with what I have on the all-inkl test account I’ve just made.

    Kind regards,
    Jarno
