• There are still some big issues with content completely disappearing and tabs loading incorrectly. If the client makes an edit while it is bugging out, that tab content can be completely deleted (!!!)

    1. Sometimes the first tab will show content and sometimes it will be empty. Switch tabs, refresh the page a few times. I’ve repeated this happening 3 or 4 times. It looks like sometimes it will load tab2 into the first tab.
    2. Switch to HTML view and then reload the page. Then go back to Visual View. Tabs are empty and the content of some tabs are loaded into the wrong tabs.

I am on WordPress 3.2.1 and using MultiEdit Version 0.9.8.1 on the latest Firefox.

Can you be more specific on how to reproduce?

I’ve also got a client having the same trouble in Google Chrome. He complains of the tabs clearing after saving changes.

We’re both using Chrome but I’ve not ran into the issue myself. Not been able to replicate it; he is an editor and I’m an admin – possible cause?

    How to reproduce in Firefox:

I have 5 tabs. The first Main Content tab is empty.

Test 1 – I click on any other tab (Visual Mode), then press F5 to refresh. Content from the tab that was opened is copied into the first Main Content tab, while it should remain empty.

Test 2 – Click on 2nd tab that has content in it (Visual View). Now click HTML view. Now press F5 to refresh the page. Click on 2nd tab, click on 3rd tab, then click Visual. The second tab content will be gone.

Test 3 – (like test 2, except clicking on more tabs in successiion). Click on 2nd tab that has content in it (Visual View). Now click HTML view. Now press F5 to refresh the page. Click on 2nd tab, click on 3rd tab, click on 4th tab, click on 5th tab, then click Visual. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th tabs will lose their content entirely. If you successively click on more tabs, those tabs will lose their content, except for the last one you click on.

I am having the same issue. I will save my content. preview the page and then edit another page, then go back to the first page to make a change and the main content tab will be empty.

However it doesn’t always happen, so it is hard to pin point how to reproduce the bug.

I have found that if you stay on a multedit tab too long and wordpress processes an autosave it saves that current tabs content (even if empty) as the main content.

I am working on a solution that will likely leave the main content area un-altered so if there is an autosave, this wont happen.
