[Plugin: Paid Downloads] files hoisted on amazon s3?

    No. Files must be hosted on the same webserver where your WP installation is.

    Is there a solution then for example if a server is getting hammered by traffic due to popularity of a file and one needs to use a Content Delivery Network to keep it available?

    It would be great if you could select where the file was uploaded (directory on own server) or a third party server (I use Amazon S3 services)

    2 reasons

    1. Safety – for not getting products stolen. Once downloaded the real filename is known and anyone that knows /recognizes the plugin will know the full path of the file.

    2. Large file download from my server just doesn’t work well…
