Hi,

I’m working on an italian translation for this plugin, however I’m finding an odd behavior.

I haven’t completed the translation yet, but I wanted to test the translation so far from a user perspective so I loaded the file in wp-contents/language/pmpro as instructed in the docs however some strings are not translated like The price for membership is %s now

while other strings like You have selected the %s membership level. are being translated just fine.

I thought at first it could be caused by some extended characters used in the italian language, but even using plain characters the translation is not showing up.

Could you help me out finding what’s causing this behavior or what I’m missing in the process?

    Thanks and regards

Hmmm. I think I need to recreate the .pot files. I’ll try to get those out early next week. It’s possible there are strings that aren’t wrapped correctly for translating… especially in the add-ons and other customizations floating around. We’ll need to update those over time.

If you point out specific cases (try to be as specific as possible, i.e. links to code) we can fix them up.

Thanks for working on an Italian translation for us!

If you are on GitHub, you can use pull requests to get them into the plugin (and thus get full credit) or you can email them to us or post them/etc.

Yes I followed the procedure to rescan the base language file and it updated some keys.

Now the changes I made are picked up.

In the changes I’m making I’m using a tailored lingo for our user, if it could still be useful for you I’d be happy to push my changes to the Git repository.

    Same Issue with Spanish Translations.

I am using last po and mo files, and having same problems on very specific phrases. Those one are:

    “The price for membership is”

“Change” over the same line in membership level on checkout page
