    Em,

As far as I know the dates before 1970 thing has been fixed for a while now. You’re still having this problem? Can you tell me exactly under which circumstances this shows up?

Your other question about the male shows female…I don’t know what you’re referring to. Got more details on that?

    Hi Roland,

I believe we’re still waiting for the update with the 1970 date fix! I’m sure I couldn’t have missed it.

If you go to https://abcast.co.uk/index.php/artistes/ and put Sex >> male in the Search boxes, the results still show females too as the word ‘male’ is also in ‘female’!

    Thanks, Em

    Em,

Ah, I see. Well, the search capabilities on the [pdb_list] shorcode are, admittedly, a little rudimentary. Your site probably needs something more sophisticated anyway: like a form where a number of search criteria can be set.

You can try using the “strict search” option. but that might not be desirable for all searches.

On the date formatting, I need to know where and under what circumstances you’re still seeing this problem.

Thanks, where do I find the ‘strict search’ and I’ll give it a go?

RE dates – If I edit anyone whose birthdate is before 1970, it defaults to 1 January 1970

1 January 1970 also appears in the notification email I get when someone has edited their own profile.

    Em,

“Strict User Searching” is on the General Settings tab for the plugin.

Also, I can’t replicate the problem you’re describing with the dates. Does it matter how the date is input…say instead of 3/4/1960 you enter April 3, 1960?

Any other format than “1 January 1970” doesn’t register at all. Login and have a look if you like ??
