Plugin Performance Issue

  • Ok i just installed, activated only 1 module – “Product Tabs” and added just 1 Global Tab. Functionality wise it worked perfectly. I liked it.

    But as to my concern of performance from such a big plugin (which is modular btw so expected it to pass) – i checked impact on number of SQL Queries with QuickMonitor – it adds 40 additional queries to my existing count of 300 SQL queries per request which is huge, and i just have activated one module.

    I want to know your take on this. Will update rating if needed after hearing you guys.

    Update: I have a complex site, heavily modified theme & many pieces working together so something could be at my end – so i would like to know some insights about whether this plugin was made keeping in mind performance.

    Yes, it’s a real challenge to maintain a big plugin like this without some impact on the performance.

    However, there is a thing you could do. Please try to enable the General Module and activate the Booster’s Shortcodes option.

    It should improve the performance stopping a lot of queries from being run ??
