Plugin Phone field issues

    In this plugin, phone field have major issues we can enter any text also in place of phone number, and if we don’t want place holder for this filed or even flag option we don’t have options to remove it, tried in coding to remove it, but unable to remove..

    Highlights:
    In phone field we don’t want flag and place holder options mainly in this filed we can enter text(charterer) also, this is main disadvantage..

    please let us know any solution for this.

    You can use “Text” field with “Validation” option and you will get the desired result.

    @manegr Hello,

    After Using “Text” field with “Validation” also we can use character’s( letters) in place of phone numbers, we have used validation as “phone numbers(digits and dashes)” in “Common Regular Expressions” but still we can use letters in that filed.. this is wrong isn’t it?

    In place of phone number we should only use numbers and if we have maximum length of numbers to use also good option.. but nothing available in this option..

    Could you please suggest us any other way??

    Dear @shashwathi ,

    If you choose the “Validation” type as Phone Number for the “Text” field, it won’t let your users to fill in the field with letters. I tested it and could not find any issues with that.

    You can use the maxLength attribute to decide the maximum length of the numbers. Here is a screenshot to help you.

    @manegr Thank you so much now we checked that option, its working now..We can enter maxlength value but min length value not working..

    like we entered maxlength is 12 minlength is 10, max length is taking we can enter maximum 12 values but if we enter 1 values also its taking, we have a condition that customer should enter minimum 10 values in that filed and maximum 12 values.

    Unfortunately, the product does not have a workaround to complete the mentioned functionality. However, the feature you wish to have would be a great addition. So could you please add your suggestion to our Submit Your Idea page?
