[Plugin: PhotoContest Plugin] Photo with same name

  • Hey Frekel,

    Two more errors seem to be coming up.

    1. Several people have emailed saying they are trying to upload a photo and they keep getting an error message saying the photo with that name already exists. Even if they change the name of the photo they still get the same error. Any thoughts?

    2. I noticed, and some of my members noticed, if you vote on an image then log out and log in with a different user account and try to vote on the same image you’ll receive an error saying “errorbox: error captcha missing.” I do have captcha disabled.

    I’m not too concerned with the second error. I placed a warning that users can only vote once per IP address. I know it is really a cookie issue but it seems like a good idea to prevent users from creating fake accounts to vote with.

    The first problem is a funny one. Need to look into it.
    Can you see if the photos are uploaded?

    You are using 1.5.2? Right?

    And please give me some of the usernames. I know that users with dots (.) in their names have given some trouble in the past!!

    The second one is a strange error. If I have time maybe I find a better error description ??

    Yes I’m still using 1.5.2. I’ll upgrade once this competition is finished.

    The latest user to complain about the “file already exists with this name” error was jesimorrow. Here’s her profile: https://www.corsetstyles.com/members/jesimorrow/

    Her email does have a dot in it between her first and last name but not her username on the site.
