Plugin php displayed in the Facebook description

  • Hello, I’m trying this plugin at my test site, and whenever I press the like button for the first post showed on the home page (which shows up also in the featured content), after confirming (a security measure against spam by FB), a FB share window pops up with the title of my post, but in the description I find this:

    var addthis_config = {"data_track_clickback":false,"data_track_addressbar":false,"data_track_textcopy":false,"ui_atversion":"300"}; var addthis_product = 'wpp-3.1';

    The other posts seem to be working alright with the plugin.

    Any idea on how to solve this issue?

  • @pierino84 It can happen when the theme strips script tag from the content, like when they have to be presented in a slider. If possible, can you give access to your test site? You can mail me to srijith[AT]addthis.com. I will check how it can be fixed.

    var addthis_product = ‘wpp-3.1’;

    … is being displayed in a sidebar that shows my testimonials (the plugin shouldn’t be doing anything there at all) and I don’t know why. I did a search on google and found many other sites that are displaying this text and I feel like once more people realize this is happening on their sites they’ll likely be coming here for you input. Is there anything you can do? The problem only happens on my site from time to time but it shouldn’t happen in the first place.
