    Anything in your server error log around this time? I strongly suspect a server configuration is limiting the length of request variables and is stripping out the variables that Picasa sends to perform the file upload.

    See the discussion related to the Suhosin plugin in the Other Notes Troubleshooting section of the readme. Suhosin is just one possible culprit.
