  • Hi Ralf,

what do you mean by “featured images”? Can you give me an example (preferably with a link), so I can check it out?

    Cheers.

    Hi Sean,
I mean the thumbnails that can be added as featured image through the sidebar of edit post page:
    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Post_Thumbnails
    Example:
    https://internetbusinessmastermind.com/facebook-vs-google-plus-engagement-infographic
The first image in the post is the ‘featured image.’ No button.
The other images later in the post do have the button. (I changed the positioning with CSS, so that it would work with the right-floated position of the featured image.)

In the next post the first image is NOT a featured image, but was added to the post manually. Pin button working here. This is how it should look like with the pin it button:

    Cheers!

    Hi Ralf,

Yeah, there is an issue there. The plugin retrieves all images in the “post” table in the WordPress database and adds the button to them – it does not see the thumbnails, as they are not in this table.

I’m still wondering how I will fix it, but keep an eye open for updates. I don’t guarantee I’ll get it to work, but I’ll try!

    Cheers.

I wanted to bump this matter, as I encountered the same issue as well.

We use full-sized images as featured images (Post_Thumbnails) with 640px width on our site and the Pin It button only appears on images that are nested inside the the_content() area.

The featured image is still media associated with the post itself, I really hope you find a solution for this. Thanks Canha!

I’d also really like this resolved as the featured image is usually the best one that people would like to pin ??

I also need this feature. To make my posts look nice, I only use featured image (and multiple featured image plugin, so it can has multiple image in a post), so at first I though your plugin doesn’t work.

Or maybe there is an option to activate your plugin to every images under certain divs? so I can code it manually?

Like to emphasize a solution for this. The featured image is kind of the most important image of a wordpress post. So it would be great to have a solution for that.

Posts where I would need it look like this: https://www.myrkothum.com/personal-development-quotes/

+1 for this. Doesn’t appear on my featured images, either, which rather makes it pointless, because those are the very images I’d like visitors to pin.

    +1 ditto
