Thanks for the reply, we are running php-5.4. Call-time pass-by-references has been removed in php-5.4. Please review https://php.net/manual/en/migration54.incompatible.php

It seems I have a bug additionally at this file, exact at line 21. Thanks a lot for pointing me that. I will re-check, make test and return with fix.
