[Plugin: podPress] Pinging no longer works

    Thank you for making me aware of the changes and the link to the other forum!

    I have read the section about pinging the iTunes server in the iTunes Podcasting Resources last week. But as someone in the other forum said this section which described the 3 different ping methods is gone.

    I will look into this matter.

    Maybe I have read about the different pinging methods in the German version of Making a Podcast – Erstellen von Podcasts. The section “Hinzufügen von Episoden” (en: Adding Episodes).

    The discussion in the Apple forum seems to show that Apple has withdrawn this update service. That is why I’m going to hide/remove the ping buttons in the next podPress version(s).

    But it seems that the Apple really updates the episodes list of a podcast at the iTunes Store every 24 hours.
