• Once again, thanks for the plugin, I love it.

I just set up a new wp site at https://www.jamcakemusic.com and it’s a bilingual site. This is the first time I’ve used xLanguage plugin with podpress. I really love the simplicity of the plug but it doesn’t play well with podpress. The player will show on some pages and not on others (like the home page). The “download, play now, play in pop up” display on all pages but not the player. I disabled the xLanguage plugin and podpress works normally. Unfortunately the developers site for xLanguage is not working…. I hope there’s an easy fix. I really like both plugins.

    Thank you,

    jazkobo

    Hi jazkobo,

it is not easy say what the cause for that behaviour could be. But I will look into this matter tomorrow.

Are there any Javascript errors when you open one of the pages which do not show the MP3 player?
(Most web browser have something which is often called “error console”. Try to find this error console, clear the existing messages if there are some and open one of these pages which do not show the player.)

    Hi jazkobo,

the xLanguage plugin uses a filter for the post content and this filter removes all empty HTML element from the content of a post. podPress had used an empty <div>-container to place the player on page loading at the right place.
podPress v8.8.8.4 has in visible HTML comments in these <div> containers. That they are not empty for the parser of the xLanguage plugin.
(the relate parser code is in line 156-162 of the parser.php of xLanguage v2.0.4)

In other words, this podPress version should work with xLanguage.

    Regards,
    Tim
