That’s certainly not a feature. There is probably a bug. Wich I do not understand and do not succeed to reproduce.

Maybe you can try a few things:
    1. make a test with no other plugin activated and with a default theme (twenty ten or twenty eleven) to see if there is a conflict somewhere.

    2. check the option “Hide URL language information for default language” in Polylang settings to see if it solves the issue with your current install.

    Hi.
Thank you for your quick reply. I deactivated all plug ins, including google analytics, that spam thing and only left polylang active. Switched to the twenty eleven theme. No change ??
Also that 2nd. thing doesn’t solve it either. Also it makes the “German” button to switch language opsolete as it won’t work anymore.

I already tried reinstalling it but it didn’t do do anything either.
The REALLY weird part is that on my brothers blog which is located on the SAME server, just one subfolder away it works perfectly ?? Really weird!

I’m trying to find out where could be the issue. What are your “Reading settings” for “Front page display”? Did you kept “Your latest posts” or did you change something here?

Ahhh….how could I have missed that! Yes! I created a static page called “Feed” which links to the home page…can I have that feature AND get the redirect at the same time? Because it works with having it set to “your latest posts”

You can choose to use a static page as a front page *AND* and another one as posts page (you must provided translations for them). What does not work because of a bug I just discovered thanks to you is:
Check “Front page displays a static page” and select a page for posts page and *do not select* any page for front page.

Feel free to drop into my now working blog XD
