[Plugin: Portfolio Slideshow] Slideshow not showing in dashboard

I have just installed Portfolio slideshow, and I’m working my way through the demo. I have a working slideshow on a post, but ultimately I want to put it in a widget on the sidebar. The demo says I should look for “slideshow” on the dashboard, but it is not there. What do I do to get it on the dashboard? Thank you,
