• I would like to auto-expire posts after a certain number of days from the original post date and have them auto delete. Example; set a rule to expire posts after 547 days (from the original post date)

Authors would not need to do anything with regard to setting an expiry when they add a post as this would be set in the Post Expirator admin.

Is there a way to do that with Post Expirator?

  • you can set a default expiration value .. so when you create the post, it will have a default value set

    Hey Aaron,

    Thanks for the guidance!

Just so I’m clear, I see a setting for “Default Date/Time Duration:” and if I set to “Custom”, and then I can “Set the custom value to use for the default expiration date.”, but what do I enter in that field? …it says to “see PHP strtotime function”, and I have no clue what to enter in that field. I want the posts to auto expire 547 days from the original post date.

    Appreciate the help!

Have you tried to put +1 day ? Try only 1 day first. If it works then you can try others. It will be easier if you try the shorter first.

Ok I just realised my posts are generated by the Gravity Form not through the admin, thats why it didnt work. Thanks for your fast reply, do you have any idea how to make it work if the post were created through Gravity Forms? Its embedded into pages then published as posts.

    Thanks alot Handoko
