    I love the concept of this plugin, it’s exactly what I need but it doesn’t look like it is supported anymore.

    Can anyone recommend an alternative?

    I need Editors to be able to add postcodes to their posts and choose a marker according to category as they write them, then all the posts are plotted onto a google map on a separate page – so you can browse the articles via the map and choose a category to display on the map.

    Dreaming now, but I also have The Events Calendar installed, what would be ideal is if the Editor only had to enter the address once into either the event or the map panel rather than having to do them both.

    Apparently what I needed was a ‘Map Mashup’ though quite how I ever would have guessed this I don’t know!!!

    WP Geo Mashup is quite good but doesn’t yet allow custom markers according to category.
