[Plugin: Post Snippets] Code in snippet being removed

Here’s my snippet code.

<h5>{title}</h5>
<p>{content}</p>
<p><span>{buttontext}</span></p>
<br class=”clearLeft”></div>
</div>

when i call this into a post, the
gets cut out. I’ve tried replacing it with a <p> and <div> so I can attach my clear but it still strips it out.

Any ideas?
