[Plugin: Postie] Feature request: Assign email posts to a custom post type

Just a suggestion. What about using post formats instead, and underneath the Writing settings, change your default Post Format to ‘Status’. This way anything you post via Postie will come through as a status update, and when you write a regular blog post, change it to Standard before you publish it.
