Well, of course, you could add any content to the top of a particular press release, just like a normal post. But it sounds like you’d want a standard header, similar to the “boilerpate”, which is effectively a standard footer. This feature isn’t in there at the moment.

Alternatively, you could create a page template file for press releases. In your theme directory, create a file named single-press-release.php. Copy over the contents of an existing file, either single.php, page.php, archive.php or index.php. Then you can hard code any content at the top of press releases, including adding a logo, or a sub-heading, “FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE”.

    Matt,

I was on the right path, just misnamed the file (had single-press-releases.php instead of single-press-release.php). I’m am better with HTML than php so I just hardcoded in the information and it looks great.

I propose adding an optional header much like you did with the boilerplate and possibly a section in the press release creation/edit area where a second company can be added for that particular release. You know how some press releases have two companies at the bottom… this would be a nice optional feature as well.

Great plugin… Thank you for it and your response.
