    Hi there,

The cloner_error_log is created when our backups/clone/restore tools are running on your website. It should be automatically removed after the task has been completed. Now, we had a couple of reports where it wasn’t removed automatically and our developers are looking into this behavior.

    Kind regards.

Does it also create pclzip-6217b637a5504.tmp ??
Please can these things be created in plugin specific folders (like /managewp/tmp)? Every time the file is created, I get sent an email (from all my sites) saying there’s a file change on the site, but there’s no way to ignore it, because it’s gone by the time I look. At least if coner_error_log and this pclzip thing are in their own tmp folder I can just exclude that folder. It’s just commons sense to not create these things in the root folder. Thanks.

We reported this issue via a ticket in Nov 2021. I am surprised that ManageWP only had a couple of reports of this.

After several follow ups Manage never came back to us with a resolution.

I ended up writing a script that removes the cloner_error_log file

    Hi there,

Nikola here. I apologize for this more than late reply. I’ve pinged our developer team in hopes of speeding things up a bit, and hopefully, this will be resolved soon. In the meantime, if there’s anything else that I can help with, please feel free to get back to me.

    Kind regards.
