    Can you elaborate? Maybe even provide a screenshot for clarity?

    What theme are you using? Have you tried switching to the default WordPress TwentyEleven theme to see if the problem exists there?

    Yes. I recall helping someone else with this exact same theme and issue… there is a line of code somewhere in the theme that causes all post types to be included on the homepage. I couldn’t tell you without looking at the code, but perhaps you should post a question to the theme author.

    That is actually a feature of the theme itself, so changing it will require changing the theme.

    thanks for the reply
    i will try to contact theme author
    i will change publish date to hide it from home page for now.

    That feature was removed in the Easel 3+ versions, making it so that custom post types are responsible for adding to the blog loop instead by the plugin that handles it.

    So, I am guessing you’re using Easel 2.0.7 which is fine, but if you upgrade the look is different, however I provided a child theme with the base look from the easel 2.0.7 here: https://forum.frumph.net/viewforum.php?f=19

    yes i update the theme
    and use the child theme
    thanks for the reply

    does anybody know, how to hide promotion-posts from index with twentyeleven please? I think, promotions are custom post types, so maybe it should be possible to exclude these posts in this line?
    <?php if ( ‘post’ == get_post_type() ) : ?>

    Thank you

    @lexxlevi,

    Promotions are indeed a custom post type, however, I don’t believe TwentyEleven displays anything except posts by default on the homepage. Are you using a customized version of TwentyEleven or another plugin that might be adding those to your homepage?
