Plugin: Promotion Slider – How to add text?

  • If you have the excerpts set to display on your slider, you can just type in your link as HTML in the excerpt box and it will be displayed on the page.

    If you want to display some text on ALL slides automatically, you can find details on how to implement that in the FAQ for the plugin. (See the ‘How can I enable the display of additional content in the slider?’ section)

    Thanks, I looked at that section before but am still unclear as to what to do to get that extra text to show next to the image.

    If I want to add extra content for each promotion, the action hook example does not seem like the one I should be using. Is there another way to achieve this?

    So if you have a link or other text to display on a specific promotion, just provide the HTML in the excerpt box, like this:

    This excerpt contains a <a href="https://www.google.com">link</a>.

    You can then use CSS if you need to further style how and where the text appears in the slider.
