[Plugin: Pronamic iDEAL] no order notification after payment when using iDEAL easy

    I noticed that, when using iDEAL easy, there is no order confirmation for the client (and store owner) after making a payment. We have to change the order status first of that order, and then the confirmation is sent.

    I really would like my clients to receive a mail when they place an order. Now they have to wait until I change the order status (and sometimes that will take a while) so that will be very confusing. I know a solution would be to change to a more expensive iDEAL option, but for a starting webshop I do not prefer this.

    A solution would be to send a temporary order notification. There you can state that the order will be processed after payment. This is done the same way for paying by bank transfer. The customer receives a order notification that states that the order will be processed after payment. Can you please let me know if this is possible, and what I have to do to make this work?

    I posted this message also last week as a reply to a solved issue, but I have the impression that you didn’t notice it. If you did, so that I posted the message again…

    I think you are right, we should handle iDEAL variants that don’t support payment status feedback the same as the bank transer payment gateway. W’ll try to improved this in the next release, we hope to launch it next week.

    Hi Remco,

    In my set up my customers receive the final mail with a link to a video, this is done via the purchase note and this is my product. So it is really important for me that the Woocommerce purchase note is send.

    I have 2 questions related to marjolein her question.
    1. Does your change next week mean that the purchase note is send after payment through IDEAL?
    2. Do you still have to manually change the status from on hold to completed? Or does the item get a completed status automatically after payment with IDEAL?

    @marjolein64 the adjustment is slightly more complicated than expected. We can’t handle iDEAL Basic payments the same way as bank transfer payments. We also noticed some big changes in the handling of e-mails in the next version of WooCommerce. Therefore we have to wait for the next WooCommerce and release.

    @elinthorsthoman We have already answered your questions in an e-mail, in short: it depends on the iDEAL variant you use. With iDEAL variants that support payment status feedback the order will be updated to completed.

Can you tell me if “ABN ideal only kassa” supports payment status feedback? Is it also possible to use SISOW for iDEAL payments with status feedback or do they only support the simple variant?

    For now that is correct, but we want to improve this for the iDEAL variants wich does not support payment status feedback. WooCommerce is improving the mail interface so we want to wait for the next release to improve this.

    Can you tell me if “ABN ideal only kassa” supports payment status feedback?

    Yes it’s also possible to use Sisow, they allow you to use the iDEAL Basic or iDEAL Advanced variant.

    Yes, we are awaiting for the next WooCommerce release.
