• I like the protectcopyblogs plugin however in the code it ASKS for ONE credit link… then takes FIVE do-follow links per page and post!

Excuse me, but I think that is ABUSIVE. I’ve left the links in as ext, nofollow but if I had a little more nerve I’d wipe them entirely.

Yes, plugin writers deserve great credit for what they do, but a single link is more than enough, and preferably not a bunch of keyword-optmized do-follow links.

    kvetch! kvetch! kvetch!

And yes, I do know there are alternatives… I’m just giving the guy a chance to rectify his unethical coding.

The number of links is down to 2, but according to WP.org policy links are not supposed to be added to the public site without asking the site owner’s permission.

This plugin (at NO TIME) requests permission to install the do-follow links in the footer.

I hate to say it but this plugin should be removed from wp.org, at least until it complies with good practice followed by other plugin authors.
