• I’m using sexy bookmarks. Usually there is an option to turn them off for a particular page / post. The option to turn them off for questions disappears in this plugin meaning that they appear for every answer. Do you know of a way to disable them just for the FAQ pages?

I tried disabling them on pages in the Sexy Bookmarks settings but I presume the FAQ’s use posts because they still appear.

    Any ideas?

  • I’m having the same issue on my site. As soon as I click on one of the questions, they all divide, with the sexy bookmarks in between each of them.

I’m not sure if it’s related, but I also use “LinkWithin”, and it’s doing the same thing – showing up under each, individual faq… so in between each question, there is the sexy bookmarks toolbar and the “you might also like” images… I can’t use it this way.

    I’ve uninstalled it.

If there is a fix for this I will reinstall and use this plugin because it seems to be the easiest to use FAQ plugin I’ve found.

I started to approach the problem from the other end. I needed a bookmarking tool that would work with my Bitly custom url and play nice with the Quick Chat plugin.

I settled on WP Socializer. It does all I need and plays nice with the Q and A plugin.

Might be worth a look for you?!?

I used SexyBookmarks which did not appear on the FAQ posts, but I had to disable it for some other reason.
I’m now using WP Socializer, but I can’t figure out to disable it on the FAQ posts ??
(You can disabled it on “normal” posts, but not on thr FAQ posts)

Sorry, I should have been a bit clearer in my last post.

The FAQ plugin creates “Pages” and then displays them within another “Page”. If the browser can’t use Ajax it will load the actual page so that your reader still sees the info.

I disabled WP Socializer on Pages.

If you don’t have too many Pages, you could then enter the shortcode for the buttons so that they are visible on any Pages where you want them. The buttons won’t appear in the FAQ sections though.

If you want to check it out on my site goto https://eastlothianfm.co.uk I’ve used the FAQ plugin to create both the FAQ page and the Schedule page.

    Hope this helps!

I was just coming here to find out how to turn off the sexy bookmarks in my FAQ too. I did start a post over at the Sharaholic forums to see if they have any suggestions.

There is no custom fields in the q and a posts. If it was enabled we could hide the bookmarks.
