[Plugin: Q&A] can't get it to work (total newb)

hi. I love the plug in and it’s exactly what i was looking for but i can’t seem to get it to work. I’m very green when it comes to word press but i installed the plug-in, activated it, checked the permalinks, and even copied the php files from the default folder to my theme folder.

I have some of the layout on the screen but none of the links work and the layout is terrible. i just wanted it to look like the screenshots. does it all need customized?
