[Plugin: Quick Cache ( A WP Super Cache Alternative )] Best expiration time and pruning
-
I’d like to find the best configuration for quick cache.
I update my site 2 to 4 times a week, thus not very frequently.
So, I set the expiration time to 1 week and pruning to “single + front page”.
This way, every time I publish a new post or change it, both that post AND the home page should be invalidated.
I still have some questions, however:
if I change some widget, for example in the sidebar, will it be shown after one week or will the home page be served fresh?
When a user adds a comment, is the related post invalidated?
And what about other changes such as theme changes?Depending on the answers to the above question I was wondering why should I keep the expiration time low, while I could set it to a very high value and always have the posts and the homepage correctly updated.
