• It works on the latest wordpress 3.2.1

By my reckoning, out of all the caching plugins out there, Quick Cache is by the the easiest to setup, also good performer, and has little to no conflict with other plugins i find.

W3 Total Cache on the other hand is more complicating to setup. But it has some nice features that quick cache lacks, such as CDN, and Minify. However those options are also available separately via other plugins, although it would be nice if Quick Cache at least added CDN option especially for cloudflare which is a free service. When using this plugin, instantly there were problems as it conflicted with some of my other plugins. I run at least 30 or more plugins on my site. I didn’t have such an issue when using Quick Cache.

So i do think there is room for Quick Cache to improve, but bottom line is, Quick Cache is the best when it comes down to east setup and having no bugs. Just because it is easy to setup does not mean it’s a slouch. It’s a very good performer as well.

I also like the changelogs and other notes which are very descriptive and educates it’s users about the plugin and how it works.

I was a bit flabbergasted why not long ago the plugin was removed from the wordpress plugin page seeing as how good this plugin is.

    Anyways kudos to the programmers.

PS: you can test using these following sites how quick cache stacks up against other wordpress cache plugin alternatives

  • I agree -this plugin works beautifully. Have a site under dev with a lot of functionality (plugins) that was sluggish enough to be unacceptable. This plugin was up and running in two minutes and the site went from sluggish to SNAPPY.

    Hi to all,

I have installed this plugin in one of the websites I am working on https://itq.upv-csic.es/ and it works very fast, the cache is generated appropiatly while I click on its links. However my problem is that I couldn′t make it generate the cache automatically. I did all the settings necessary for it to work but in vain. When I checked my error log I got hundreds of the following errors with the corresponding pages:

[Tue Jan 24 06:53:52 2012] [error] [client 192.168.20.29] PHP Warning: fsockopen() [<a href='function.fsockopen'>function.fsockopen</a>]: unable to connect to itq.upv-csic.es:80 (Connection refused) in /var/nas/jails/itq.upv-csic.es/home/user/www/_itq/wp-content/plugins/generate-cache/functions.php on line 110, referer: https://itq.upv-csic.es/empleado/segura-petrel-tomas

I am so frustrated and I couldn′t figure out the issue. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

I just loaded the quick cache program, and did not do anything but enable cache. The message on view source was not there. I had to manually go back in and clear the cache manually and now i see the message. Am i missing a step that automates this. I am currently on 3.3
