All caching works in same fashion – Either cache the whole page to a static file or no caching at all. Partial caching of DOM section is not possible. Now if you want a portion of the web page to have always fresh data, well that is possible and easily done through AJAX…

I wanted to ask the same thing and found this post. I also wanted a dynamic area in a page. Sorry to hear that it’s not possible.
