    Further to this…

According to Pingdom Tools, this plugin actually seems to slow down the page load. Is this accurate?

    Before Quick Cache:
    Perf. grade
    79/100
    Requests
    24
    Page size
    526.7kB
    Load time
    2.77s
Your website is faster than 55% of all tested websites

    After Quick Cache:
    Perf. grade
    79/100
    Requests
    24
    Page size
    527.1kB
    Load time
    3.69s
Your website is faster than 43% of all tested websites

3 out 4 cases where page load time is INCREASING with this plugin:

    siteurl.com/wordpress
    Before 1.30 – After 4.19
    siteurl.com/wordpress/
    Before 5.63 – After 6.48
    https://siteurl.com/wordpress/
    Before 1.20 – After 3.26

And 1 case where the page load time is DECREASING – Hooray!:

    https://siteurl.com/wordpress
    Before 4.32 – After 2.98

Can anyone advise if this is accurate?

I am wondering how the redirects will behave in the real world, especially once I move the site to the root directory…

    Thanks!

Confirmed, Quick Cache doubles page load time.
