[Plugin: Quick Chat] Problem with Ban- Please select one user error & couple of minor issues

  • Just installed the latest version of this plugin.

    A couple of issues —

    1) When we try to add a user to “Ban” – it gives us a please select one user, even though the user is selected.

    2) Also, the boxes do not line up properly with the users. They should be aligned to the top with the user name. I assume this would be fixable in the style sheet?

    3) Also, how can we remove the ability for people to change their user name in the chat room? Ideally, it would be better to have an option whether you would like to have your users change their name on the chat. For our purposes, we want only registered users to post, but we also do not want anyone to be able to change their user name.

    Otherwise the layout is really nice, and overall this is a really nice plugin. If there were a more integrated paid version, we would be interested in utilizing it, especially if it had more integrated security features, such as being able to assign monitors, etc.

    Hi,
    this is the thing. Quick Chat as it is released to WordPress plugin directory has a goal of making everyone happy. It must get along with all themes and plugins you’re able to install so it can’t be more integrated than it is right now. More integrated version is version where you say what you need out of Quick Chat and then I modify code to make you happy. That is the paid version I can offer and as this is as integrated it gets for most users this works great.

    About select for ban not working it is something I can in one way or the other fix if you provide me with link to the site in question so I could debug with my tools.

    I’m also having the same problem with “Ban”.
    It says “You must select at least one user” even though a user is selected.

    @aleyify07: If any of the user’s checkboxes are checked that error shouldn’t pop up. Unfortunately I don’t have the admin account on your site to be able to test ban functionality. Also right now your site drops:

    “Your connection to this server has been blocked in this server’s firewall.” error when I try to access it.

    I have the same problem (with the ban), any solution ?
