[Plugin: Quick Post Widget] API for remote quick-posts from an iPhone app?

First of all, thanks for a great widget! This is exactly what I needed.

I just had one question. With the existing functionality, would it be possible for me to quick-post by making an API-style call somehow? (Warning: I’m a relative newbie to web programming)

I’m more of an iOS/iPhone app guy. I’m wondering if it would be possible to use a native iPhone app interface to populate the title, contents, category, etc. of a quick-post and then send it over the air to my WordPress blog.

[iPhone app] —> [quick-post-widget] —> [New Post]

Any ideas?
