[Plugin: Quick Search] doesn't do anything

this plugin just doesn’t do anything.
installed it, activated it, set the options (used the default “searchform”).
nothing.
then changed “searchform” to “search”, but no difference.
deactivated every plugin, still nothing.
it’s just not working!
