• Hi!

I updated quotes collection to it’s latest, then updated from WP 3.01 to 3.04 today.

Problem: The widget disappeared and can no longer be found (by me ?? )

The plugin is still there in my plugin list, it’s active. It updated successfully ( or so it says). The admin for the plugin is still there as well with all my plugins and settings in tact.
What I can’t find is the widget. I noticed it disappearing from my site, wnet to the widget section and it no longer displays in the sidebar, nor in the section with ‘dragable’ widgets (available or inactive).
I tried deactivating en reactivating to no avail.

  • We’re noticing the same problem. The site was updated from 2.9.2 to 3.1x. The plugin may have been updated at the same time. The plugin is still in the list of plugins, and the configuration (ie list of quotes) is still present. However, it isn’t available on the page of widgets and there’s no code at all on the rendered page.

    Here’s the fix
It turned out that jquery was being loaded twice: with this plugin and also with SexyBookmarks. I found a checkbox on the SexyBookmarks config page to prevent it from loading jquery.
