• Hi,

We have used the raw HTML plugin since version 1.0.3, and now 1.0.4. We have encountered problems with long HTML posts. They simply disappear from the website (still appear when editing). We have tried the following, but couldn’t get it to work:

    – Posting in Visual and HTML modes
    – Posting in tinyMCE’s “Edit HTML Source”
    – Posting in regular edit box (disabled tinyMCE)
    – Using [raw] and <!–start_raw–> tags
    – Cleaning up the HTML code in Zend Studio before posting

When we cut down the post’s length by half, it posts fine (both halves). If you like, I can send you the HTML code that’s causing the problem (either by email or some other means).

  • Weird.

Please send me the HTML (including the [raw] tags or whichever you used) to whiteshadow(at)w-shadow.com, I’ll see if I can figure it oout.

I’ve had a problem like this before. Try checking the length attribute of the used table in the database. If it isn’t set long enough then it will cut posts, and can be viewed as invalid or cause errors that prevent it from showing up at all.

    Just an idea.

After further investigation, we conclude the following: No matter what the content is (even just plain lorem ipsum plain text), as soon as it hits around 35KB, it will disappear.

Whiteshadow has fixed the problem in the new version (v1.0.5).
