  • I had the exact same issue. Deactivating the plugin fixed the problem.

Of course, I deleted the page I had just created, so I was being sent to the 404 page.

Exact same problem. I’m using version 2.1.27 of the plugin.

    Still a problem on 2.1.28.

I’m having this problem too. Every time I add a page or post, the homepage redirects to that page. I have to manually delete a row from the wp_ftnnm1_redirection_items database table to fix it each time.

By the way, I’m having this problem with the latest plugin (2.1.28) and the latest WordPress (3.0.1).

Same problem with the latest version (2.1.28) and WordPress 3.0.1.

Plugin will work if you disable the “URL Monitoring” option.

Yup, same problem here. Both the home page and blog page redirected, with both 2.1.27 and after the 2.1.28 upgrade. Also, I have WP Super Cache activated, and once the redirection was cached, deleting the super cache and clearing the browser cache still did not fix the problem. I had to call tech support at hostgator and they were able to save me (I assume they did something like xiann did and edited the database directly).

Hi, I just fixed this issue without having to remove the plug-in and without having to edit any MySQL tables.

Deactivate your redirect plug-in. I think WP 3.0 doesn’t interface with the plug in. I was having the same issue of my home page redirecting to a new page.

When I uninstalled the redirect plug in everything worked well. I would think the plug-in programmer will need to upgrade the plug-in so it is compatible with WP 3.0

    I was using a plug-in called redirection

According to the author (John Godley) it’s compatible up to WordPress 3.0.1 – it doesn’t seem like he’s actually tested it though! I’ve found this bug to be repeatable 100% of the time on three separate WordPress 3 installations (3.0 and 3.0.1).

The only problem with deactivating the plug-in is you will lose all of your redirects a time consuming problem if you have a large database of them active.

I would have chosen to just remove the plug-in and go to the next although this is not a good idea once you are in production.

There is one little feature you need to disable to get your redirects working again and fix the front page redirect problem.

Check out my link above if you would like to salvage your Redirection plug-in until John Godley releases an update.

    Nick,

Hello all, same problem here with my web site (https://www.acoram.com) but now it is fixed and works again. I could solve the problem also by deleting the “moved articles” entry in the plugin, on the groups tab.

Same problem for me on 2 sites

nickiler′s link solved the problem for me.

i have the same problem with 3.0.1 but none of those helped for me
    – deleting the records from the Mysql db
    – deactivating the posts group
    – deactivating the plug-in
    – deleting the plug-in
    – overwriting the htaccess file.

for few of my sites, the deleting from the mysql directly fixed it right away, but for this particular site none of the above helped.
    Any ideas? ??
