[Plugin: Redirection] Remove .aspx from URL

We recently migrated our blog from SharePoint to WordPress and I’m trying to remove the .aspx from incoming traffic from old links.
It would save me having to create a redirect for all the old links. I’ve spent ages at it and won’t bore you with my failed syntax attempts.
e.g. turn
https://www.myblog.com/2010/12/post20.aspxinto
https://www.myblog.com/2010/12/post20
