    Hi!

I absolutely love the plugin and how much it changes the look of our site (we are developing internally for now) and I really want to use your plugin for our production site.

I have come across an issue though, which is when a page with a lot of images is loading, the site slows to a crawl (our previously load time was 1.8s ish and was rising to 5s+) with the plugin installed and activated.

Do you have any reason why this might be, our site is super light on plugins so can’t see anything interfering and we also removed any lazy load options from our theme.

Thanks in advance for your help, the plugin is great!

Hi @slinger55, thanks for the kind words about the plugin ??

The last time this plugin was stress tested was over 3 years ago, and a lot has changed with WordPress since then. Similarly I haven’t had an opportunity to update this plugin either unfortunately.

Do you have a link you can provide that I could check out and see what’s happening?

    Hi @moosch,
Thank you for replying to my thread! I thought it was just because it was outdated. Unfortunately the site is on our internal network but can send you a link when we move it to our dev server.

Would love to see this plugin come alive again, as the effect is the best I’ve seen for image loading!

    Thanks again.

    Hi @slinger55,

Yeah that would be great, it’d certainly make it easier to debug.
In the meantime I’ll look at ways to make it a little faster.

Thanks very much for your appreciation too ??

    Hi @slinger55,

I have made some performance improvements and tested with a series number of large images and things are running much more smoothly. In addition, the full size images are only loaded when they are in view which speeds things up too.

Update the plugin and things should improve. Let me know if you have any issues.

Thanks again for the support ??

    Hi @moosch,
Thanks again for getting back to me. I’ll give the new version a go and see how it works!

    Thanks
