  • Nope, there’s no UI for that.

Is there a way that could come in the near future?
I have way to much images to regenerate all of them each time, I would like to have something to select the images I would like to regenerate or maybe something that gets integrated into the WordPress Media Library ‘Bulk Actions’—that would be nice!?

I agree with that ! (I had to select 1000 images for thumbnails recently. Very boring work).

That’s an interesting idea and wouldn’t be too hard to do. Good thinking. Now to find the time to do it… ??

    I hope you’ll find it ??

Check out the just released version 2.1.0. It does exactly what you want. ??

Thank you Alex, rock and roll!

The log output on regenerate all thumbs is great. For me trying to regenerate all thumbs at once still results in a freeze at varying progress (cheap shared server resources I think) but having the log took the mystery out of what thumbs had been regenerated.

The capability to regenerate thumbs for individual images is great too.

The ‘Regenerate Thumbnails’ option in the Media Library wasn’t available which made me scratch my head until I realized 3.1 (not 3.0.1) was required. Regenerating the images in smaller batches – great solution!

    Thanks again.

You can regenerate individual images in 3.0.x, but yeah, the Bulk Actions dropdown option won’t be available until WordPress 3.1 comes out as an extra hook is needed to do it. ??

I upgraded to the 3.1 Alpha to get the Bulk Action as the thought of regenerating thumbs for over 1000 images individually wasn’t fun. Unfortunately the theme I’m using looks to have glitches in 3.1 ATM, but your plugin worked great! Being able to batch images in quantities the server can handle is a great feature. Now I think I may need to revert to 3.0.1 to get the theme to work for the time being, oh well! ??
