• I’ve tried to use %invitecode% in each of the two email customizations and I’m finding that it is not being passed for either. I’ve got the plugin settings set such that an Invitation Code is required. During registration, it is rejecting wrong invitation codes and it does seem to be representing them in the dashboard OK. I haven’t tried all of the email replacement keys, but the ones I’ve tried all seem to work fine except for this one. It doesn’t give wrong information, it just seems to be a null.

Also, if I enter a re-direct in the configuration screen and then use the %site-url% replacement key, the re-direct shows up in the printed substitution. I’ve disabled using it for now since I’m not thrilled with the way that looks in the email. Is this part working as designed?

    TIA Karen

  • Are you using WP 2.6.3 as well as I am? ??

I have the same problem with the variables, like %user_name%, %user_pass% and the like. They aren’t ‘pasted’ in the email as well.

Also the JS in the admin panel could have done better, but I’m pretty sure that will get fixed in the future! ??

I really love the plugin, I hope to be finally rid of the ‘generated’ user accounts on my website… ??

GJ- In the user email message, I use the following variables without a problem:
    %blogname%
    %user_login%
    %user_pass%
    %user_email%

And the following variables in the admin email work fine in my email:
    %blogname%
    %user_login%
    %firstname%
    %lastname%
    %user_email%
    %user_ip%

I am also using WP 2.6.3 and the Register Only version is the one that is currently out on the www.ads-software.com/extend repository. All of these variables are fine for me, only the %invitecode% was problematic for me. I’m also using FireFox 3.0.3 if that matters.

%user_login% doesn’t work here. Also at FF 3.0.3 and I am using latest from the repository as well… ??

%siteurl% doesn’t work as well, which are fields which I actually want to be in the email.

(I suppose %siteurl% contains the URL to validate the account / email?)

I am using HTML mails btw, to pretty things up… ??

Strangely enough if I don’t pretty things up, I still miss %user_login%, the rest is working.

Too bad HTML mails is having some bugs obviously.

    And I got it fixed!

There’s another plugin causing some problems with this great plugin, it’s: NoSpamUser
