    Hello !

    First a general question:
I haven′t found a clue about the indexing system of this plugin.
is it necessary to re-index my post after I have added a post (using custom post types) because that would be of great disadvantages to the Users administrating the content (I am actually hiding quite a bit of the primary functionality from them to avoid confusion and I want to hide the dashboard functions of this plugin as well)

About using the Advanced Custom Fields Plugin:
Most of my content consists of CPTs, where I use the ACF Plugin to add (among other data) A FULLTEXT and a CUSTOM EXCERPT as a preview for the archives.
These may differ quite a bit, so I′d need to ‘map’ my search calls to a custom function, and check whether my FULLTEXT or my CUSTOM EXCERPT contains the requested search term and generate the text to be displayed (generated from one of those fields) in my search template from there.

Any ideas howto achieve what I want to do ?

As an addition I′d like to provide the Visitor with the option the specifically search certain custom post types.

From what I understand I′d had to add a dropdown to my searchform where I have a selectable list of my custom post types (value = ID), re-route this search request to the wordpress install folder (index.php) and via the hook the plugin provides, add the GET parm
cat=<ID> to restrict my search to this very Post type (same goes for custom taxonomy).
Am I (basically) on the right track ?

thanks for any assistance (starting to like this wordpress stuff)

    kind regards,
    m.
