Hi there, the plugin is great and helps to streamline products straight into our campaign though we have a question about system resource usage. Our site loads within 1.5-3.5 seconds depending on how much traffic is coming into the website though we find that throughout the day and early morning, this can spike to 7.5-12.5 seconds and our 8GB Ram and CPU hosting account hits 100% usage. We have been resolving general plugin and theme errors that appear in our error log as per a few suggestions in this forum though after 10-15 hours fixing errors there is no difference at all, issue still happens and this has not improved the issue at all. We installed as per our hosts suggestion the Code Profiler plugin which profiles all plugins and we found that the Google Listings & Ads plugin chews through resources more than any plugin we have including WordFence which is resource intense. Can anyone suggest if there is a way of getting past this as we should not have to upgrade to a dedicated hosting account for such a small website because of one plugin. See attached example.

  • Hi there @malhyp9 ??

Thank you for reaching out about this!

    Plugin Resource Usage Help

As I understand, you are in the process of optimizing the site’s loading times, and you see high resource usage with the Google Listings & Ads plugin.

I went ahead with testing, with a test installation of mine, and the loading times never exceeded ~1 second. My tests were realized on the site’s Home page and Shop page. For reference, I am sharing the screenshot below:

Just to note, Google Listings & Ads syncs general product information to Google upon setup. Related documentation linked here.

Did you notice these graphs stay the same after initial setup of the plugin, or otherwise?

To get an idea of how your site is configured, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
