Plugin results in 404 pages

    Hello!

    I’m not sure what has happened. A few days ago when I posted, the Reading List plugin was working (though the featured cover image would not show up in a single post). Then today I looked at the site and I was getting 404 messages for every page. I scratched my brains out for a couple of hours. Then I deactivated all the plugins. It turned out that WP Reading List was throwing the error as soon as I activated it. :-/

    What is the url for your website?

    Did you update your permalink settings between activating the plugin and seeing this error? And what permalink settings are you using?

    Thanks for the quick response! The site is here.

    I removed the plugin. It was strange — the plugin was working great, but then randomly I got all the 404 messages. My permalink structure is to use the post name. With the plugin activated, I tried every permalink structure, but the 404 messages were still there. It wasn’t until I disabled the plugin that I could see my pages again.

    Hello,

    I tested all of the different permalink settings in a stock WordPress environment where this was the only plugin installed. All of the settings worked according to the documentation here: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-reading-list/faq/

    My guess is that there is another plugin, or possibly a server security setting, which is interfering with this plugin. Unfortunately, this is something that is very hard to debug by simply looking at the front-end of the site. My recommendation would be to talk to your system administrator or web developer to troubleshoot the issue.
