[Plugin: Rich Text Widget] No visual editor

  • This problem stretches back more than a year across multiple versions of WP. Nobody seems to have a standard fix for it.

    SUCH a shame. ??

    I have no visual editor in wordpress 3.0 and I need it. I have tried everything that has been suggested, unactivating all plugins, uploading a new version of wordpress, changing themes. Also none of the visual editor plugins I’ve tried will work either.

    I had exactly the same problem.
    “RE-INSTALLING” was the only solution.

    I believe…
    1.Export posts to file
    2.Re-install “WordPress”
    3.Import the file
    is the quickest solution

    It works for me in 3.0.1, though with two bugs. The first is that occasionally, the entire editor disappears at which point I have to log out and back in. The other issue is the uploader which is more advanced than the other similar widgets, seems to have a js problem. I may work on this second problem.
