[Plugin: RSVP Plugin] Special chars not working
-
Firstly, I had some problems in plugin options. I’m using the Slovenian alphabet with special characters like ???. I did a little testing and here’s what I found out:
When I put “?” in RSVP Question Verbiage field, I get a ? on an actual wp page. If I put č instead, it parses as ? without problems.
If I put “?” in Note Verbiage field, it parses as ? without problems. So that seemed strange… I mean why do some fields only work with html entities?
And I’ve figures there will be problems with names also, so firstly I’ve tried adding a guest with a name “??? ???” and it was added like ??? ???. Bummer.
Then I’ve tried logging in to the rsvp form with that name and I’ve gor “We were unable to find anyone with a name of ??? ???” and in the two text fields there was “??????” under First name and “??? ??” under Last name. So a total mess.
Obviously there’s some problem with encoding and not using proper php strings when parsing data thru forms. Could you please check this? Because now no one with a special character in his/her name can’t rsvp to my event.
I am using twenty eleven theme with utf-8 on a the latest wp (3.3.1). Thank you in advance, great pugin otherwise.Oh by the way, how can I raise the “+1” limit from 3 to at least 5?
