    Hi,
I was using this plugin for a long time but I decided to uninstall it today because I was having issues with user logins and checkout process on the shop. But, when I deactivated the plugin my website turned into a bunch of text. It doesn’t load properly. I can access to the backend but not the front when not logged in. So I had to activate the plugin. But I want to delete this plugin. Please help as I don’t want to use it anymore.
See this screenshot for what happens when I disable the plugin >> https://sahindesigns.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/Screen-Shot-2022-11-03-at-15.44.15.png
    Thanks!

    Hi @elifsahin

Once you deactivate a plugin, the plugin code can’t make any changes to the site and thus can’t break a site. That said, WP Optimize can’t fix a broken site as well.

Could you please deactivate all other plugins and see the site is okay?
If so activate plugins one by one to find out the misbehaving plugin

    Hi @webulous
Thank you for your reply however, I tried deactivating all the plugins after I deactivated the WP Optimize. It didn’t make any difference. I am still experiencing the issue. The reason I’m thinking that the problem is caused by WP Optimize plugin is because only when I activate WP Optimize, the website works properly and that code disappears.

I’m sorry to bother you @webulous with this issue! It seems like the useless A2 hosting plugin was causing this problem with its gzip setting and I guess WP Optimize was fixing it when I activate the plugin. You may go ahead and close this thread.Thank you again for your time and your patience!

@elifsahin No worries. Glad that you figured it out yourself.

FYI: I believed the content encoding header was the issue here. While activating WP Optimize and cache, we set our own header that solves the issue.
